MIAMI, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hiperbaric, the global leader in High Pressure Processing (HPP) equipment for the food and beverage industry, will showcase the Hiperbaric 525 (H525), the most productive HPP system, at PACK EXPO International 2026, October 18–21, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, Booth #LU-7718.
High Pressure Processing, also known as HPP, is a non-thermal, post-packaging food and beverage preservation method (5ºC – 20ºC) that ensures food safety, extends shelf life, and maintains the fresh taste, texture, and nutritional quality of products. Using high isostatic pressure—up to 6,000 bar / 600 MPa / 87,000 psi—transmitted by water, HPP inactivates foodborne pathogens and spoilage microorganisms without heat, delivering results equivalent to pasteurization with none of the thermal damage.
On Monday, October 19 (10:00 – 10:30 AM) at the Processing Innovation Stage (Booth LU-7764), Hiperbaric will present “Clean Label Meets Food Safety with High Pressure Processing (HPP),” addressing how HPP inactivates relevant vegetative pathogens and spoilage microorganisms while preserving sensory quality, enabling clean-label formulations without compromise.
The Most Productive HPP System in the Smallest Footprint
Delving into the core of HPP technology, Hiperbaric high-pressure intensifiers are engineered for optimal performance. They act as the main driver of the machine, pumping high-pressure water into the vessel. With up to 12 intensifiers, the H525 completes up to 10.7 cycles per hour on a 525-gallon (150-liter) vessel, outperforming comparably configured systems tested at the same 6,000 bar working pressure, 3-minute holding time, and 60Hz frequency.
The H525 is available in two configurations, so processors can choose the footprint and ceiling height that fits their facility. The Standard configuration places intensifiers at floor level alongside the vessel, for facilities without the ceiling height for an elevated platform. With 12 intensifiers, it requires 1,000 square feet of floor space at a machine height of 8.9 feet.
The Integrated configuration comes with built-in intensifiers installed on a mezzanine platform above the machine instead. With 12 intensifiers, it brings the footprint to 940 square feet at a height of 16.5 feet. The result is freed-up plant floor for upstream and downstream automation, additional equipment, or foot traffic, and a simpler integration path into existing production lines.
