Bargain shoppers will soon get to shop and sell pieces through the world’s largest online luxury resale marketplace when it opens its first Massachusetts storefront next month
The RealReal is expected to open a new location at The Street Chestnut Hill, located at 27 Boylston St., Suite 205, on Oct. 15, according to a press release.
The new store will aim to help customers sell pieces through one-on-one consultations, understand resale value and market demand for their items and offer an rotating assortment of authenticated luxury products.
The store’s inventory will be refreshed regularly and feature unique pieces from top brands such as Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, The Row, Cartier and Rolex.
The store’s overall purpose is to help local shoppers consign, shop and discover authenticated luxury across women’s and men’s fashion, handbags, fine jewelry, watches and accessories.
“We already have a strong community of buyers and consignors here, and Chestnut Hill gives us the opportunity to meet them where they live, shop and spend their everyday lives,” The RealReal’s Chief Merchandising Officer Samantha McCandless said.
Emmy Parsons, general manager of The Street Chestnut Hill, said The RealReal “brings a new dimension to the shopping experience at The Street” and adds “something truly distinctive to our carefully curated mix of fashion, luxury and lifestyle offerings.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome The RealReal to The Street and introduce this one-of-a-kind shopping and consignment experience to the Boston area,” Parsons concluded.
The RealReal’s first Massachusetts storefront will join the company’s more than a dozen retail shops across the country, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York City.
The Chestnut Hill location will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
