Target Corporation on Monday announced the appointment of Mark Weinstein to the role of chief marketing and guest experience officer, effective immediately.
In his new role, Weinstein will report directly to Michael Fiddelke, Target’s chief executive officer, and “will play a critical role in the company’s growth strategy, elevating how consumers experience and connect with the Target brand,” according to a statement from the Minneapolis-based retailer.
He will also oversee Roundel, Target’s retail media network, and Target+, its highly curated marketplace.
Weinstein joins Target from Hilton, where he served as global chief marketing officer for all 28 brands and Hilton Honors, as well as head of luxury brands.
“As we continue writing the next chapter at Target, deepening how we know and engage our guests will be critical to our success,” said Fiddelke.
“Mark has a proven ability to understand what consumers value and turn those insights into brand connections that feel relevant and personal. His leadership will help us elevate the guest experience across every interaction with Target, deepening existing relationships, welcoming new guests and driving continued growth.”
Last month, the retail giant launched a new beauty in-store rollout called Target Beauty Studio, an elevated discovery-focused destination bringing more than 1,600 products from 90 prestige, emerging and global brands to over 600 stores across the U.S.
