As artificial intelligence (AI) tools become increasingly common in the workplace, it is important to understand how to use them safely, securely, and responsibly. Join the Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) for an upcoming Lunch & Learn session on Data Classification and AI Tool Choice.
This interactive session will explore how UMB classifies institutional data and why data classification matters when using AI tools. Participants will learn about the different levels of data, which AI tools are appropriate for each classification level, and how to make informed decisions that help protect University information.
Attendees will also gain practical guidance on responsible and ethical AI use, including considerations related to privacy, security, transparency, and compliance. Whether you are new to AI or already using AI tools in your daily work, this session will help you better understand how to leverage these technologies while safeguarding sensitive information.
In addition, members of UMB’s AI security and governance teams will be on hand to answer questions and discuss real-world scenarios involving AI use, data protection, and emerging technologies. This is a great opportunity to hear directly from the experts who help shape AI guidance and security practices across the University.
