A digital marketing agency that grew from a one-person freelance operation is expanding its presence in Birkenhead after recording strong growth over the past year.
RedCore Digital, which was founded in 2023, has moved into a larger office in the town after increasing both turnover and profits and growing its client base across the UK.
The agency’s roots stretch back more than a decade. Founder Dan Wiggins first entered the industry through a digital marketing apprenticeship in 2013 before working in-house for a manufacturing company. After launching a freelance business in 2019, the venture evolved into RedCore Digital, which later appointed SEO Director Jay Price as a part-owner.
Since its launch, the company has expanded its client portfolio to include businesses across the country. Among its clients are R.S. Clare, Liverpool’s oldest surviving business, and Curo Skin, a Liverpool-based e-commerce start-up specialising in filtered showerheads.
The agency has also worked with a number of Wirral businesses, including Pleavin Power, Solutions Asset Finance, and ModuleCo Healthcare.
According to the company, the past 12 months have been its most successful to date, with turnover increasing by 38% and profits rising by 28%.
The growth has prompted a move into new premises in central Birkenhead, with the agency now occupying two floors and around twice the space of its previous office.
A senior executive joined the business in April and recruitment is underway for two additional full-time roles, including a content writer and a front-end web developer.
RedCore Digital also works with local universities and colleges to provide internship opportunities for marketing students and says it plans to continue building its team locally rather than outsourcing work elsewhere.
