New Update
Indian skincare brand Be Clinical has raised Rs 21 crore (about $2.2 million) in a seed extension funding round led by consumer-focused venture capital firm Sauce.
Existing investor V3 Ventures also participated in the round, alongside angel investors including Mokobara founders Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, Reckitt executive Arjun Purkayastha and Shaunak Chirayu Amin.
Be Clinical plans to use the raised funding to strengthen research and development, increase manufacturing capacity and expand its skin, body and haircare range. It also intends to invest in clinical testing, hire more staff and enter new markets.
Founded by Hemangi Dhir, Be Clinical launched in May 2025. Dhir has said the brand began selling products on 13 May that year.
The startup focuses on products for ageing-related skin concerns and said its formulations are designed for Indian consumers. It also said its products undergo clinical trials registered with the Clinical Trial Registry of India.
Be Clinical has also moved its formulation and manufacturing operations in-house. Dhir has said the decision was intended to give the startup greater control over ingredients, production and quality.
The D2C brand claims to have fulfilled about 120,000 orders since its launch.
Its range includes PlumpX Serum, FirmX Serum, Revive 10 Eye Cream and Neck Repair Cream, alongside other skincare products. Be Clinical sells directly through its own website and its products are also listed on Flipkart.
“Longevity is expanding into how people look and feel, and Be Clinical is capturing that shift in personal care through a full-stack model with in-house R&D, manufacturing, and clinically tested formulations,” Sauce vice-president Zoeb Ali Khan said.
“We see this evidence-led approach as a genuine differentiator in the category, and feel this market and demographic is untapped,” he said.
The latest investment follows a Rs 6 crore seed round announced in January 2026, led by V3 Ventures with participation from Titan Capital.
Be Clinical had previously raised Rs 2 crore in May 2025 in a round led by Titan Capital, with participation from P-TAL founder Aditya Agarwal.
India’s beauty and personal care market was valued at $31.19 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach $48.72 billion by 2034, according to research firm IMARC Group. It expects the market to grow at a compound annual rate of 5.08% between 2026 and 2034.
