Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Despite the country’s broader return to in-office employment following the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlanta is the best city for hybrid work, a new study claims
Hubble, a flexible workplace company, looked at every U.S. city with more than 100,000 residents and graded them on five categories: workspace access, commute and mobility, labor market, quality of life and cost of living. Atlanta easily scored the highest, Hubble said.
Atlanta boasts 41.7 coworking spaces per 100,000 residents, the highest across all cities considered, according to the study. Memberships for those spaces average at around $200, which is below the $220 national median.
The study also said that about a quarter of Atlantans have flexible work arrangements, and major employers are still offering a mix of in-office and remote work.
The top 10 cities in the study are:
- Atlanta, Georgia
- St. Louis, Missouri
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Ann Arbor, Michigan
- Boulder, Colorado
- Overland Park, Kansas
- Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Naperville, Illinois
- Birmingham, Alabama
Atlanta was previouslyranked the No. 1 city for hybrid workers in 2023. That study, which came from the commercial real estate company CommercialSearch, also applauded the city’s number of coworking spaces.
