Texas (KFDA) – West Texas A&M has applications for a program that allows high school juniors to learn AI skills and earn scholarships
WTAMU says the program is offered exclusively to juniors at any public or private school in the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.
The program is limited to thirty students who will take part in on-campus sessions in the fall September 23, October 21, November 9, and a live pitch competition on November 11.
WTAMU says the program will teach students how to craft innovating business concepts and write code.
“AI is transforming the global business landscape, and we want our local students to be at the forefront of this revolution” said Dr. Amjad Abdullat, dean. “There has never been a better time for young, innovative minds to start creating and selling AI-related products and services. The Future Founders Academy is designed to give them the exact tools, confidence, and mentorship they need to turn their ideas into a reality.”
WTAMU says the program is free.
