New Update
Women’s wellness brand Nua has raised $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, as it looks to expand distribution, strengthen its brand and develop new products.
Existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures also participated in the round.
The transaction includes both primary and secondary components, with the secondary portion providing partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC and existing angel investors.
Nua said the new funding will be used for brand building, expanding its reach and distribution, and strengthening research and development and new product development.
Founded in 2017, the Mumbai-based startup is led by founder and CEO Ravi Ramachandran and offers products across period care, maternity care and everyday intimate wellness.
Nua said it reaches more than three million women and girls each month across its products and services.
“Since our inception, we have sought to address neglected needs in women’s wellness through better-for-her products and a brand that genuinely speaks to today’s young women and girls,” Ramachandran said.
Its annualised revenue run rate has increased from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore over the past 24 months while remaining profitable.
“As we look ahead, we will continue to anticipate the evolving needs of women and build products that make a meaningful difference to their everyday lives,” Ramachandran added.
Nua has also expanded beyond physical products with digital services including the Nua Period Tracker app and SecretKeeper chat.
In February 2025, the startup raised Rs 35 crore, or about $4 million, in a pre-Series C funding round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust.
Peak XV managing director Sakshi Chopra said the company had become the second-largest online player in its category.
“Women’s wellness in India is a large and evolving opportunity, and Nua has demonstrated a strong ability to build a brand that resonates deeply with consumers,” she said.
“The company has emerged as the fastest-growing brand in the category and the second-largest player online, demonstrating its ability to compete and win alongside much larger incumbents,” she added.
Sumit Sinha, co-founder and managing partner at Filter Capital, said Nua was “redefining feminine hygiene and wellness with its superior product proposition and a brand that has built a remarkable connection with consumers”.
The $50 million transaction is one of the larger recent funding deals in India’s women’s hygiene and wellness sector. It follows Pee Safe’s $32 million Series C round in January 2026.
Nua operates in a market that includes established sanitary-care brands such as Whisper, Stayfree and Sofy, as well as newer women’s wellness companies.
