The workshop is the second in a three-part fall series hosted by UH Maui College to provide practical technology and <a href="https://bitcomme.com/former-detective-and-human-trafficking-expert-warns-of-online-risks-for-cybersecurity-awareness-month/” title=”Former detective and human trafficking expert warns of online risks for cybersecurity awareness month”>cybersecurity guidance for local businesses.
“AI is moving beyond chatbots that answer questions to agents that take action—from drafting emails and scheduling meetings to researching vendors and managing routine workflows on your behalf,” said Professor Debasis Bhattacharya, event facilitator. “This webinar offers small-business owners a clear, practical introduction to agentic AI and how it can save time and stretch limited resources.”
Participants do not need a technical background to join. Key topics include:
- Understanding Agentic AI: What an AI agent is and how it differs from basic chatbots.
- Tool Showcase: A guided overview of popular open-source tools, including OpenClaw and Hermes, and where each fits best.
- Workplace Integration: How Google Workspace for small businesses incorporates built-in AI assistance into everyday tools like Gmail, Docs, and Drive.
- Security & Risk Management: Practical guidelines for managing credential and data safety risks when delegating tasks to autonomous agents.
- Interactive Q&A: Key takeaways followed by a live 10-minute question-and-answer period.
The three-part series is made possible through $1 million in grant funding and wraparound support from Google’s Cybersecurity Clinics Fund to establish the University of Hawaiʻi Cybersecurity Clinics. UH Maui College’s clinic is one of 15 new clinics launching at higher education institutions nationwide through a collaboration between Go ogle and the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics.
