Police in Anaheim are searching for the thieves who caused an estimated $15,000 in damages after breaking into a family-run grocery store.
Surveillance footage captured a trio of men breaking into La Reina Market near the intersection of East and Sycamore Streets early Monday. The men ransacked the market and took off with medicine and other items.

According to the small business’ owner, the group heavily damaged the market’s glass and doors during their hit.
“You feel violated and obviously the mess that they make and what they steal, that hurts from a <a href="https://bitcomme.com/lenovo-group-q1-financial-results-2026-27/” title=”Lenovo Group: Q1 Financial Results 2026/27″>financial perspective,” said Daniel Rubalcaba Jr., whose family owns the market.
The man’s father opened the neighborhood staple in 1982 and has kept the business in the family as it expanded.
Rubalcaba said the family was alerted to an alarm going off at the business around 1:30 a.m. Monday and after reviewing cameras inside, didn’t see anything suspicious. A second alarm soon went off, prompting police to be notified.
“They had their run of the place for 20 to 30 minutes before the police showed up,” Rubalcaba said.
