Wis. (WMTV) -The back-to-school season is underway, and a time management strategist is sharing a planning method she said can help families and individuals stay organized through the busy fall transition
Kelly Nolan, a Midwest time management strategist, developed an approach to staying on top of tasks called the Bright Method. The method involves writing down everything you want to accomplish or need to do and then scheduling those tasks on a digital calendar.
Tasks could be anything from scheduling back-to-school haircuts to setting a reminder to take a pause as the planning process ramps up.
“I think we dismiss how much there is and how long it takes,” said Kelly Nolan, time management strategist. “I’m a huge proponent of tying it to time and a digital calendar, not to be overly engineered, but just more to say what are all the things. When do I plan on doing it and putting it in the calendar to see when am I going to do it.”
Nolan said there is no single way to apply the method. The approach is intended as an additional tool for those planning for the school year or for personal tasks heading into fall.
The back-to-school season brings a range of events and appointments for everyone.
