Sophie, a therapy dog, enjoys neck scratches from students during the Big Red Pawp-Up on Oct. 14 in the Peterson Room at Love Library South. Hosted by Counseling and Psychological Services and University Libraries, the event gave students, faculty and staff a chance to take a break and recharge with certified therapy dog teams.
From furry friends to the excitement of Husker football, campus life offers plenty of ways to connect, learn and show Big Red pride. This week’s photos pair familiar scenes of Huskers hitting the books with moments that offer a break from the daily routine. Scenes include a hip-hop dance lesson, the energy of the “Big Noon Kickoff” crowd and a post-performance conversation on the field between legendary trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and Tony Falcone, director of the Cornhusker Marching Band.
