Dandnaik joined Mediacom in May 2005 and has played an integral role in the company’s growth and success. Throughout his career, he has led a number of significant initiatives that have helped transform Mediacom’s operations, enhance the customer experience, and expand the company’s product portfolio.
“Since joining Mediacom Tapan has been integral to our growth and success,” said Toni Murphy, Mediacom’s EVP of Operations. “From the outset, he brought the talent, drive and business acumen that made him one of Rocco’s most trusted advisors. He went on to lead the transformation of our customer service operations and the centralization of our field service centers, building a service model that put customers at the center of everything we do.”
In 2023, Dandnaik assumed responsibility for Field Operations and subsequently helped drive the growth and development of several of Mediacom’s most important products. Under his leadership, the company launched eero WiFi and multi-gigabit broadband services and continued building its mobile business, strengthening Mediacom’s ability to deliver a seamless, connected experience across its growing portfolio of services.
For more than two decades, Dandnaik has led some of Mediacom’s most consequential corporate initiatives. Whether guiding the company through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic or helping respond in the aftermath of natural disasters, Dandnaik has consistently been a steadying force during some of the company’s most challenging moments. His leadership, judgment and commitment to customers and employees have made a lasting impact on Mediacom.
Dandnaik is highly respected within Mediacom and throughout the telecommunications industry. In 2012, he received the Vanguard Award for Young Leadership, recognizing his contributions and leadership within the cable industry. He has also been recognized among the industry’s top executives through inclusion in the Cablefax 100.
To support continuity and ensure a smooth transition, Dandnaik will remain with Mediacom for the next several months and work closely with Murphy and the company’s senior leadership team. Mediacom will announce his successor at the appropriate time.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have spent more than 21 years with Mediacom and to have worked alongside so many talented and dedicated people,” said Dandnaik. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together and especially proud of the progress we have made in transforming our customer experience, expanding our products and services, and positioning Mediacom for the future. I look forward to helping ensure a smooth transition and will always be grateful for my time with this company and the people who have made it so special.”
As he looks ahead to retirement, Dandnaik plans to spend more time with his wife, Chitkala, and their daughter, Sanjana.
