AI data cloud platform Snowflake has announced an expanded partnership with AI and data services provider phData; by integrating Snowflake’s AI coding agent CoCo and Cortex AI with phData’s engineering, customers will be able to apply AI tools and workflows to their own data.

The partnership provides tools for analytics modernization, AI application governance deployment and operationalized business intelligence.

“By combining Snowflake’s AI capabilities with phData’s engineering expertise, we help customers build secure, governed AI solutions faster and deliver measurable business impact,” said Ryan Bosshart, CEO of phData.
The partnership will focus on providing secure and governed access to enterprise data and intelligence for AI agents and assistants, allowing customers to automate workflows or modernize current workflows. It also provides a unified platform that houses data, analytics and AI, as well as industry-specific architecture and implementation patterns for regulatory compliance.

Governance and unification arethemesSnowflake has been expanding on this year. The AI Data Cloud provider announced multiple partnerships and products during Snowflake Summit 2026 that relate to governance and unification. This includes partnerships with Semarchy and Apache Iceberg for interoperability, master data management and unified storage. It also includes partnerships with Cyera and Flexor to provide visibility and context for data. Snowflake also added new capabilities to Horizon Catalog for AI agent guardrails, governance and semantic layer upgrades.
