Port of Seattle – a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub – has announced the selection of new dining and retail options for 17 different locations throughout Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
The 11 concessionaires who were selected in a competitive bidding process will bring these concepts to life starting next year. The new coffee concessions represent the region’s renowned coffee culture and vast landscape of roasters and flavour profiles, while the retail concessions ensure local and visiting passengers truly feel the Pacific Northwest sense of place. Construction on each of these spaces will be staggered, with some scheduled to begin in 2027.
Selected proposers were determined through a rigorous evaluation process with six rating criteria: background/experience and financial capability, concept development and customer experience, unit design and materials, financial offer, management/staffing and operations, and job quality/workforce development. This process included external independent facilitation and observation.
SEA’s Airport Dining & Retail (ADR) programme focuses on providing the travelling public with shops, restaurants, and services that exceed their expectations for customer service, quality, variety, and affordability, and that reflect a Pacific Northwest sense of place. The programme includes popular national brands, as well as local favourites to meet a variety of needs and tastes.
