Ill., Sept. 17, 2026
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group and North America’s leading motorcoach manufacturer, today announced the opening of a new service center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, expanding service capacity and enhancing convenience for customers across the greater Chicago area. The new facility represents a total investment of $8.1 million USD.
“This expansion reflects Prevost’s commitment to strengthening its service network in 2026 and 2027,” said Kevin Dawson, vice president of commercial operations. “Through this investment, Prevost is enhancing service capacity, improving the customer experience and helping keep coaches on the road.”
Located near O’Hare International Airport and major expressways, the new center offers convenient access for customers and technicians while strengthening Prevost’s service presence in a key market.
“This new service center, located just five miles from our previous site, marks a major step forward in our ability to support customers,” said Rob Senne, branch manager. “With significantly more space, greater service capacity and a location designed around customer convenience, we are well-positioned to deliver the high level of support Prevost customers count on.”
The new site expands the facility from 9,000 square feet to approximately 29,000 square feet, including an increase in parts storage from 800 square feet to nearly 15,000 square feet. Service capacity will also grow from three service bays to five, enabling faster turnaround times and enhanced customer support.
Built to a state-of-the-art standard, the new service center also introduces new customer-focused amenities, including a customer lounge and leased parking for 60 vehicles.
“We are excited to see Prevost’s continued investment in the United States and its commitment to economic growth in Illinois. As bilateral trade between Québec and Illinois has grown more than 40% over the past five years, reaching $3.8 billion USD in 2025, this new facility underscores the strength of the longstanding Québec–Midwest partnership,” Jean-François Hould, Québec Government Delegate to the Midwest.
“We are proud to welcome Prevost to Elk Grove Village,” said Mayor Craig Johnson. “Their decision to invest $8 million in a new facility here speaks to the strength of our business community and our ability to attract respected global companies. As part of the Volvo Group and a leader in the motorcoach industry, Prevost is a tremendous addition to Elk Grove Village, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.”
“By tripling the size of its Chicago-area service operations, Prevost is positioning Elk Grove Village as a key hub in its growing North American service network,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “With proximity to Illinois’ world-class infrastructure and transportation network, including O’Hare International Airport and major expressways, Elk Grove Village offers the connectivity global companies need to grow and serve customers across the region. This $8.1 million investment will expand service capacity and build on Illinois’ strong economic partnership with Québec.”
The site will also be supported by 10 mobile service vans and a technician available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, further strengthening Prevost’s field support and service response capabilities. Extended operating hours are planned and will be announced at a later date.
The Elk Grove Village opening is part of a broader expansion of Prevost’s service network. In addition to this investment, the company is adding a mobile service unit in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a new facility in Randleman, North Carolina, with an anticipated opening in early 2027.
