New Update
Paediatric healthcare brand Primerry has raised Rs 7.1 crore, or about $760,000, in a pre-seed funding round, as it prepares to expand its product range and distribution network across India
The financing was first announced in March 2026 under the RN Kids name.
The round included participation from investors Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, along with angel investors Mohit Sadaani, Hitesh Dhingra, Ajay Mehra and Samir Palod, as well as select family offices.
The business was founded by Rushabh Nandu and paediatrician Nihar Parekh and is developing everyday healthcare products for children aged between two and 14 years.
Primerry said it plans to use the funding to strengthen its research and development pipeline, build out its founding team and expand distribution across key markets in India.
Eight products planned
Primerry plans to roll out its products in phases, with a full portfolio of eight stock-keeping units, or SKUs, priced between Rs 499 and Rs 1,499.
The products will initially be sold through the company’s D2C platform, with a move into quick-commerce channels planned within the first year.
The portfolio is aimed at everyday health needs including growth, immunity, gut health, coughs and colds. Its formulations and delivery formats are being developed with factors such as taste, ease of use and clinical credibility in mind.
Primerry has also launched PocDoc, a customisable carry case designed for children to carry its products.
Alongside its online sales plans, the startup intends to establish an offline presence through pharmacies, paediatric clinics and mother-and-baby speciality stores, beginning with Tier 1 cities and metropolitan markets.
Focus on everyday children’s healthcare
Parekh said his experience in paediatric practice had highlighted gaps in the way some everyday health needs of children are addressed.
“Over years of pediatric practice, we have seen a clear gap in how everyday health needs, such as growth, immunity, gut health, and coughs and colds are managed. We are building clean formulations with unique delivery formats that rebuild parents’ trust. The idea is that wellness must be 100 percent trustworthy, meaning there should be absolutely no doubt in the parent’s mind, and that kids should actually enjoy it,” he said.
Nandu said conversations with parents had indicated demand for non-medicated products designed for children’s everyday health needs.
“Every conversation we had with parents revealed a real want for clean, non-medicated solutions. Our goal is to bring the best global formulations and sourcing standards to parents who are increasingly informed and questioning what they buy for their children. We want to build products that balance what children actually need, ease and fun, with what parents care about most: efficacy and convenience,” he said.
Primerry plans to expand through a combination of its own D2C platform, quick-commerce services and offline retail as its product portfolio is rolled out.
