Reports Emerge of Possible NFM Lending Security Breach
NFM Lending, a Maryland-based residential mortgage lender operating in 49 states, may have suffered a data breach.
According to a September 7, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live, hacker group Interlock claimed to have exposed over 2.5 terabytes of sensitive information—including names, Social Security numbers, financial information, loan terms, addresses and contact information—of over 1 million NFM Lending clients, as well as employees’ personal information. The suspected attack was estimated to have occurred on September 7.
DeXpose, another dark web security site, similarly reported that Interlock was behind a major ransomware attack on NFM Lending.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed NFM Lending data breach.
