The Prairie Portraits is a weekly series on SPN in which stakeholders of the Nebraska startup scene can provide experienced insights and takeaways from their own entrepreneurial journeys. The goal is to introduce readers to local leaders and community members building in the state as well as bring attention to potential resources and connections fellow entrepreneurs can turn to for support.
Past participants have included startup founders, nonprofit heads, small business owners, investors, researchers and educators. Nominees and readers alike have expressed their appreciation of the profiles, the awareness they bring and the nuggets of advice they share.
As SPN finishes up its current rotation of profiles, the team is now looking for a new batch of individuals to highlight.
The team has also added additional questions and modified the format. The purpose is to encourage participants to have more fun and to show off their individual personalities and perspectives. This comes at a time when artificial intelligence is influencing social media platforms and investors and entrepreneurs have voiced their belief in the significance of personal and professional networking for scaling a company.
These added questions — which SPN is labeling as the “Bot check: The fun five” section — will appear in the introductory portion of the profiles. The team pulled and edited questions from Prairie Portraits in SPN’s archives, tapping into its bloggier days.
The profiles will continue to include business and organization descriptions on top of professional titles and recent milestones.
