    Maruti Suzuki partners with five Indian startups to co-develop AI, battery recycling solutions

    <p>Maruti Suzuki said it has screened around 7,400 startups over the past seven years, engaged with more than 250 startups and onboarded 38 as business partners through its innovation initiatives.</p>

    Maruti Suzuki India on Monday said it has onboarded five startups to co-develop solutions across battery recycling, artificial intelligence and business process automation as part of its innovation and startup collaboration programme.The company has partnered with MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly and CodeMate AI, which were selected under the fifth cohort of the Maruti Suzuki Incubation Programme (MSIP), conducted in partnership with NSRCEL, the startup incubation hub of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.According to the company’s statement, MiniMines will develop environment-friendly recycling solutions for end-of-life lithium-ion batteries, while Easework AI will automate procurement workflows using agentic AI. Sarvam AI will build multilingual generative AI agents to improve customer interactions, Siftly will support brand visibility through generative AI, and CodeMate AI will develop AI-powered tools to accelerate software development.“At Maruti Suzuki, we have been actively working with startups to co-create innovative and practical solutions to address real business challenges. We are delighted to collaborate with five more startups. One of these startups, MiniMines, will support us in safely recycling end-of-life batteries, while the other four startups will help improve customer engagement and drive efficiency across our business operations,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India.Maruti Suzuki said it has screened around 7,400 startups over the past seven years, engaged with more than 250 startups and onboarded 38 as business partners through its innovation initiatives.
