Maine (WABI) – Business owners from across Maine gathered in Bangor today for an entrepreneurial conference focused on future business strategies and networking
Blitz 2026 is organized by Upstart Maine, a volunteer group supporting businesses statewide.
Panelists answered questions from business owners and students from the Maine Business School.
Speakers highlighted how Maine’s tight-knit community helps entrepreneurs’ network and build connections faster.
Organizers say that the event helps business owners learn essential skills they may have not considered.
“Just about every conversation is about helping a business get to its next stage. If you’re running a business providing a product or service but maybe have never filled out a banking loan application. Maybe they just need somebody to talk to bounce a crazy idea off. By bringing together a community of folks that are volunteers or other organizations that support entrepreneurship, we just help those business owners get to the next stage,” said Stephen Johnson, President on the Board of Directors for UpStart Maine.
Other topics of interest at Blitz 2026 included pitching business ideas, maintaining a company’s reputation, connecting with ecosystem partners, and identifying where opportunity is most active across the state.
