These initial results demonstrate the potential of livestreaming in promoting and introducing products and directly connecting manufacturers and businesses with consumers.
This activity is part of the 2026 E-commerce Application Fair, organized by the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the E-commerce Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade). The program aims to support local production and business establishments in diversifying sales channels, expanding customer access, and gradually enhancing brand value in the digital environment.
Cao Bang is not only famous for its majestic natural landscapes and the cultural identity of its ethnic minorities, but also for its many agricultural products, processed foods, and specialties that bear the distinct mark of the region. These products have the potential for market development through online distribution channels.
During the livestream, many distinctive products were introduced to consumers, including dried buffalo meat, smoked meat fromCao Bang, and Cao Bang sausage. These products are associated with traditional processing methods, possess the characteristic flavors of mountainous cuisine , and can be a suitable choice for consumption or as gifts.
Traditional cakes such as Thanh Quyen rice cakes, thorn cakes, and sticky rice cakes are also featured, along with sticky rice and soy sauce. Besides the food items, tea products add a highlight with a diverse range, including green tea, black tea, oolong tea, indigo tea bags (Xom Deng), Polygonum multiflorum extract tea, Cao Bang stevia tea, Tai Ho Sin green tea, and many other herbal teas.
The agricultural and processed food group also featured products such as Bao Lac fragrant sticky rice, vermicelli, dried rice noodles, corn noodles, cereals, black sesame powder, Lanh Dung seed cakes, and La Dung honey. This diversity of products contributes to expanding consumer choices and allows production facilities to reach a wider range of customer groups.
Bringing a wide range of product categories, from processed foods and traditional pastries to tea, agricultural products, and gift items, to a single livestream not only helps promote products but also contributes to showcasing the unique characteristics of local culinary culture and production.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Van Dinh, Directorof the Department of Industry and Trade of Cao Bang province, said that the products selected for the livestream had undergone a rigorous selection process. According to him, many products have received OCOP 3-star, 4-star, or 5-star certifications, or have been recognized as typical rural industrial products. This serves as a basis for introducing products with quality, origin, and distinctive value to consumers.
Through livestreaming, businesses, cooperatives, and production and trading establishments in Cao Bang have more opportunities to introduce their products, convey their brand stories, and interact directly with customers. Compared to traditional advertising methods, this format allows products to reach consumers in many localities without being limited by geographical distance.
In particular, combining product presentations with live interaction helps viewers gain more information about the features, uses, and value of each item before making a purchase decision. Through this, businesses can receive customer feedback, understand market needs, and adjust their promotional activities accordingly.
The initial results of the livestream show that e-commerce is opening up more opportunities for the consumption of Cao Bang’s distinctive products. However, to maintain long-term effectiveness, production and business establishments need to continue improving product quality, perfecting packaging, traceability information, packaging and delivery capabilities, and proactively building brands on digital platforms. Supporting local entities in accessing online sales skills, building promotional content, and organizing business activities on digital platforms is also crucial in the process of expanding the market.
Through live streaming sessions promoting specific products, e-commerce can become a bridge between production and consumption, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of local specialties. This is also a practical approach for Cao Bang to leverage the advantages of its local products, boost sales, enhance brand value, and contribute to local economic growth in the context of digital transformation .
