KANE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) –A Kane County man is accused of using artificial intelligence to create child pornography.
Jeremy Batterman, 52, of Campton Township faces multiple felony charges, including production and possession of sexually explicit materials involving children.

Prosecutors say he used AI to alter images of real children and created entirely AI-generated images and videos between Nov. 13, 2025, and May 17, 2026.
Officials said Batterman was reported through a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Batterman is ordered to remain in custody, until trial.
He’s next due in court Thursday.
The Kane County Child Exploitation Unit and St. Charles Police Department handled the investigation.
