<a href="https://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/19700/International-Graphite-Ltd” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>International Graphite Ltd (ASX:IG6, OTC:IGRPF) has secured around $1.5 million in non-dilutive construction finance from National Australia Bank to support development of its Collie Micronising Facility in Western Australia.
The funding comprises a secured business markets loan and an overdraft facility, with the business markets loan to be used for construction costs associated with the production building.
The new facilities complement existing equity commitments, forecast research and development funding receipts and remaining funding available under International Graphite’s $4.5 million Financial Assistance Agreement with the Collie Investment and Transition Fund.
Construction advancing at Collie
Construction of the Collie production building is progressing and remains on track for completion in the second quarter of 2027.
Managing director and chief executive officer Andrew Worland said Collie would form the first of the company’s planned global production facilities, alongside its proposed operations at Porto Marghera in Italy.
“Construction at Collie is advancing rapidly with the production building firmly on track for completion in Q2 2027.”
Worland said the facility would establish International Graphite in the Asia-Pacific market as customers increasingly sought secure sovereign supply chains.
The National Australia Bank business markets loan carries a two-year term with interest capitalised during that period. At the end of the term, it will convert to an amortising loan over 13 years.
Building graphite processing capacity
International Graphite is developing midstream graphite processing operations in Australia and Europe, targeting demand from industrial, energy storage, advanced manufacturing and defence markets.
Its strategy combines the Collie Micronising Facility with the Alkeemia/IG6 joint venture at Porto Marghera in Italy, while the company also owns the Springdale Graphite Project in Western Australia, providing potential long-term feedstock for future expansion.
