Professional business services firm, INBRID, has launched INVOX, a digital bookkeeping and invoicing application designed to help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) manage their financial records and better understand their business performance.
Launched on August 31, 2026, INVOX provides small business owners with tools to record income and expenses, create professional invoices and receipts, manage business documents and monitor financial performance from a single platform.
The company said the application was developed in response to the challenges faced by many small businesses that continue to rely on notebooks, spreadsheets, WhatsApp conversations and memory to keep track of their finances.
According to INBRID, such informal methods can make it difficult for business owners to determine their actual profit, monitor expenses, maintain reliable financial records and make informed decisions about their businesses.
The firm also noted that some existing accounting and financial management platforms can be too complex or expensive for the everyday needs of smaller businesses.
INVOX allows users to record and categorise income and expenses, generate professional invoices and receipts, and create official business letters using their company letterhead.
The platform brings the functions together under a single business profile, enabling users to keep financial and business documents organised rather than having them scattered across different applications and physical records.
The application also features artificial intelligence-powered receipt scanning, which captures relevant information from documents and reduces the need for manual data entry.
Its AI-powered financial insights analyse income and expense patterns and audit financial records to give business owners a clearer picture of their financial position and business performance.
The company said its INVOX Pro plan provides additional features, including monthly profit-and-loss statements, deeper financial analytics, downloadable reports and increased document storage.
As part of its launch offer, INBRID said INVOX Pro would be available to all users at no cost until September 30, 2026.
The launch comes against the backdrop of the significant role played by MSMEs in Nigeria’s economy.
According to PwC’s 2024 MSME Survey, drawing on data from the National Bureau of Statistics and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, Nigeria had 39.65 million MSMEs as of 2020.
Micro and small enterprises accounted for 96.9 per cent of the country’s businesses, while MSMEs collectively contributed about 46.3 per cent to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product and accounted for more than 84 per cent of employment.
Despite their contribution to the economy, many small businesses continue to struggle with financial record-keeping, a situation that can affect their ability to understand their performance, plan ahead, meet financial obligations and present credible financial records when seeking funding or dealing with tax requirements.
INBRID said INVOX was designed to provide a simpler digital alternative for businesses seeking to improve their everyday bookkeeping and financial management.
Speaking on the launch, Founder and Principal Consultant of INBRID, Adekoya Godwin, said business owners should not require extensive accounting knowledge to understand the financial position of their businesses.
“Business owners shouldn’t need advanced accounting knowledge or hours spent calculating figures to know if their business is making money and understand their numbers,” Godwin said.
“We built INVOX to make that process simpler. A small business owner should be able to open the platform, start recording their finances, and understand what is happening in their business with no need for extensive accounting knowledge.”
INBRID said its experience working with businesses informed the development of the platform.
Over the past three years, the company said it has supported more than 200 businesses through grants and provided professional and technical services to more than 2,000 businesses across different states in Nigeria and other countries.
The firm offers services including strategy and advisory, business process solutions, legal and tax services, bookkeeping and talent management.
With the launch of INVOX, INBRID is expanding its services into digital financial management, targeting MSMEs that require accessible tools to keep proper records, manage invoices and gain better visibility into their business finances.
INVOX is currently available as a free web-based bookkeeping and invoicing application for small businesses, with the company positioning the platform for wider adoption across Africa.
