New Update
Vitonnix, a UK-developed preventive healthcare startup has raised its first institutional funding in a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures.
The round also saw participation from other investors, including practising doctors and bollywood actors, such as Riteish Deshmukh & Boman Irani, singer Jaspinder Narula and film producer Madhu Mantena.
The funds will be used to strengthen its senior leadership team, build a consumer-growth engine, expand distribution channels and enter new international markets.
Founded by Dr Prashant Jindal, a UK-based refractive eye surgeon, Dr Deepti Jindal, a dermatologist, and Dr Rajesh Handa, an oral surgeon, Vitonnix develops sublingual nutritional sprays.
The startup was established to explore alternative methods of delivering nutritional supplements, focusing on the absorption of nutrients through the oral mucosa. Its SubliSpray range consists of nutritional sprays formulated for sublingual delivery, with a focus on ingredient compatibility, dosage consistency, taste and stability.
According to the startup, the platform was developed over more than a decade of research, including three completed clinical studies involving key formulations.
Originally developed in the UK, Vitonnix has its research, formulation and manufacturing base in India, with global operations managed from London & Birmingham.
Vitonnix claims its precision spray systems are engineered in Germany, and has filed patent applications for its bottle designs and formulations.
The startup has undertaken product registrations, regulatory filings and market-entry activities across the UK, US, UAE and India. In India, the company received early support from the Tata Group, followed by the introduction of a co-branded product range within the Tata ecosystem.
Notably, it is preparing to introduce an initial range of 10 products, with a UK rollout planned for 2026, including a proposed launch through British retailer Boots. It has also expanded into pet nutrition through Vetonnix, an oral nutritional spray range for companion animals.
The initial portfolio includes products targeting skin and coat health, calming support, multivitamins, growth and development, and bone and joint health.
