Google has removed the Pixel Tablet from its online store, including the “Tablet” section from its homepage navigation menu. The 2023 Android tablet appears to have been discontinued after three years without a follow-up. First spotted by Jetstream, the removal follows reports that the device was already marked out of stock. Most accessories, including the Pixel Tablet Case and Charging Speaker Dock, are also unavailable, with only the Wasserstein Pixel Tablet Speaker Stand still in stock. Amazon and Best Buy have similarly stopped selling the tablet. Google has not confirmed the discontinuation.
Key Elements
Google has removed the Pixel Tablet from its online store, a move that suggests the 2023 Android tablet has been quietly discontinued after three years without a successor.
The product page is gone, and the “Tablet” category no longer appears in the navigation menu at the top of Google’s homepage. The change was first spotted by Jetstream, which had reported days earlier that the device was already marked “Out of stock.”
The Pixel Tablet launched at I/O 2023 for $899 with an included charging speaker dock that doubled as a smart home hub. That two-in-one package was the tablet’s defining feature, but Google never shipped a follow-up model.
Accessory listings remain on the Google Store, though most are unavailable. The Pixel Tablet Case and Charging Speaker Dock are both out of stock, with customers only able to sign up for notifications in case Google restocks them. The sole accessory still available for purchase is the Wasserstein Pixel Tablet Speaker Stand.
Third-party retailers have also cleared out inventory. The tablet is no longer for sale on Amazon, and Best Buy’s listing states the “item is no longer available in new condition.”
Google has not yet responded to requests for confirmation that the tablet has been phased out entirely.
