Fission has raised $10 million in Series A funding to expand liquidity infrastructure for tokenized investment funds, with the round led by Pantera Capital. The financing also included participation from Circle Ventures, New Form, gumi Cryptos Capital, Borderless Capital and Ari Rubenstein, CEO of GTS. Fission plans to use the capital to expand liquidity capacity, support a wider range of tokenized private-market and semi-liquid funds, and deepen integrations across the digital investment ecosystem.
Fission is building a liquidity layer for investment funds that have moved on-chain but continue to rely on periodic redemption windows, limited secondary liquidity and traditional financing structures. The platform allows eligible investors in supported tokenized products to access capital without waiting for standard fund redemption cycles.
The company currently supports tokenized funds across asset classes including private credit, alternatives and other institutional investment products. Fission said it has already processed millions of dollars in transactions and is expanding liquidity through both traditional and on-chain sources of capital.
The platform is designed for institutional and permissioned markets, incorporating investor eligibility requirements, transfer restrictions and compliance controls associated with regulated investment products. Fission is positioning the technology as infrastructure that can make tokenized fund interests more liquid, transferable and financeable without removing the controls required by securities markets.
Fission’s team brings experience from institutions including Point72 and Securitize, spanning institutional trading, private-market distribution, tokenization and regulated securities markets.
The Series A adds Pantera Capital, Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital and Rubenstein to Fission’s investor base. Existing backers include New Form, gumi Cryptos Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, Manhattan Venture Partners, Reflexive Capital and Lattice Capital.
“Putting funds on-chain is only the beginning. The real promise of tokenization is creating fundamentally better markets around these assets: broader distribution, continuous liquidity and the ability to use fund interests as collateral in lending markets. Whether a fund is private or simply constrained by traditional liquidity structures, Fission is building the technology that makes those assets more liquid, transferable and useful across financial markets.”
Jonathan Shaffer, Founder And CEO Of Fission
“Investment funds are moving onto digital rails and liquidity is one of the critical pieces required for that transition to reach its full potential. Fission is building infrastructure that will help transform tokenized funds from representations of traditional products with legacy constraints into fundamentally more liquid and productive assets.”
