A father can work remotely or part-time while retaining the right to parental leave and work experience.

A father who is on leave to care for a child until the child reaches three years of age may simultaneously work part-time or remotely.
This right is provided by part four of article 18 of the Law of Ukraine “On Leaves” and article 179 of the Labor Code of Ukraine.
Under what conditions can a father work during leave
If he wishes, a father during leave to care for a child can work:
- part-time — a part-time day or part-time week;
- at home, including under remote work conditions.
Is the right to parental leave retained
If a father decides to work part-time or remotely, the right to parental leave until the child reaches three years of age is retained.
Is work during leave counted towards work experience
The period of work part-time or remotely is counted towards the total and continuous work experience, as well as work experience in the specialty.
