Bangkok – The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), through its Digital Commerce Market Bureau, organised the “TOPTHAI Cross-Border E-Commerce Day 2026” under the theme “TOPTHAI Global Gateway” on August 17–18, 2026, from 9am to 5pm at the Le Grand Ballroom, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. The event was held in collaboration with government agencies, private-sector organisations, and e-commerce partners to enhance the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs in cross-border e-commerce and create greater opportunities for business expansion into international markets.
The event aimed to equip Thai entrepreneurs with up-to-date insights into global e-commerce trends and consumer behaviour, while providing knowledge on digital marketing, technology and innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and international logistics. These insights are intended to help entrepreneurs apply new knowledge to business strategy, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen their competitiveness in the global marketplace.
The event featured seminars and knowledge-sharing sessions led by experts in digital commerce, AI technology, and international logistics, as well as practical workshops designed to enhance participants’ skills. In addition, the Platform & Business Model Showcase brought together leading platforms, including JD.com, Alibaba, Shopee, Tmall, Amazon, and Thailand PostMart, which shared insights into market trends, business models, product sales strategies, and opportunities for market expansion through cross-border e-commerce channels.
The event also provided entrepreneurs with opportunities to turn knowledge into practical business opportunities through business matching sessions with representatives from domestic and international platforms and business partners. The sessions were complemented by Business Consultations, offering expert advice on e-commerce platforms, logistics, international payments, and export support services. A networking reception was also organised to facilitate connections and foster further business collaboration among participants.
The event forms part of the TOPTHAI by DITP initiative, which focuses on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors and connecting Thai entrepreneurs with platforms, technologies, payment systems, and logistics services. The initiative aims to help Thai businesses adapt to the rapidly changing global trade landscape while expanding their access to international consumers through digital channels.
In addition, DITP continues to organise cross-border e-commerce activities across various regions throughout Thailand to extend knowledge and business opportunities to local entrepreneurs. These activities include knowledge-sharing sessions, partner networking, business negotiations, and consultations with experts, helping prepare Thai entrepreneurs to continuously expand their businesses and bring Thai products to international markets.
Entrepreneurs and those interested in the TOPTHAI by DITP initiative can follow updates and upcoming activities through the DITP Service Center at 1169, Thaitrade.com, and the official communication channels of TOPTHAI by DITP.
