An August 14, 2026 notice posted to its website states that Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care became aware of suspicious activity related to its network on February 12 of the same year. Following an investigation with a forensics firm, the healthcare provider determined that certain files were accessed by an unauthorized third party.
On June 17, after completing the investigation and reviewing the impacted files, Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care determined that the incident potentially exposed names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, government-issued IDs, financial account information/payment card information, medical information and health insurance information.
A report submitted to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services regarding the Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care data breach states that the incident affected 21,897 individuals in total.
