Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) will host its 13th Broward Entrepreneur Summit on Friday, October 2, 2026, according to a PR.com release. The event takes place at the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation. HUF says it is one of Broward’s longest-running entrepreneur events.
The Broward Entrepreneur Summit falls during Hispanic Heritage Month. HUF will mark the month with special programming throughout the day, including the Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award initiative.
What to Expect at the Broward Entrepreneur Summit
HUF says the Broward Entrepreneur Summit will welcome more than 300 entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders. They will find a day of practical education, networking and access to local resources. The goal is to help them start, grow and scale their businesses.
The leadership award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to serving the community. HUF says the honorees embody its values and mission. Attendees can also explore the Entrepreneur Mercadito, a marketplace featuring small local businesses offering products and services.
New Pitch Competition and Awards
New this year, HUF’s Level Up Center of Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition invites emerging entrepreneurs to present their business ideas. They will pitch before a panel of judges. The prize is a chance to win 1:1 business mentoring and cash prizes. Other schools are also backing founders, as in a new business and entrepreneurship center.
The Broward Entrepreneur Summit will also celebrate the American Dream Awards. They recognize business leaders whose achievements and perseverance have resulted in positive community impact. Award recipients will offer attendees an inside look at the lessons, challenges and decisions that shaped their journeys.
Sessions on the Agenda
HUF designed the program around the real challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face today. It includes four sessions:
- Customer Experience as a Growth Strategy, a panel on designing customer experiences that build loyalty and drive referrals.
- Strategic Networking, an interactive workshop on building authentic business relationships.
- Prompt to Profit: Using AI to Drive Sales & Marketing Results, a hands-on workshop on AI tools to generate leads and grow customers.
- Pricing & Profit: Financial Skills Every Entrepreneur Needs, a workshop on pricing strategy, cash flow and profit planning for sustainable growth.
Costs matter to new founders everywhere, as in the push to lower business registration costs.
Sponsors and Community Voices
Admission is free thanks to the support of HUF’s sponsors. They include returning Title Sponsor Amazon. “Events like the Entrepreneur Summit are good for South Florida and good for the families and communities that call it home,” said Angelica Santibañez, Amazon’s Head of Community Engagement, Florida.
Felipe Pinzon, HUF’s President and CEO, pointed to local numbers. “Last year alone, nearly 8,800 small businesses launched in Broward County, creating more than 32,000 jobs,” Pinzon said. “The Entrepreneur Summit exists to help fuel that growth, one business owner at a time.”
