Pa. (WHTM) — Mechanicsburg native Bret Michaels was in Hershey for the Pennsylvania Chamber dinner Monday night
Michaels talked about how rooted entrepreneurship is in Central Pennsylvania.
“Coming from Central PA, it’s such a great, unbelievable entrepreneurial vibe, especially in Central PA where I grew up,” Michaels said. “And to everybody, I tell them this, I said. ‘Look, you go out there; if you put in your hard work, if you go out there and believe in yourself, you have ambition, determination; there’s nothing stopping you.'”
Michaels also briefly touched on his journey to becoming a rockstar.

“The harder I worked, the luckier I got,” Michaels said. “If I can come from the sump pump backing up in my basement, standing with my electric guitar and survive, and be able to come here and rock Hershey Stadium every summer, that’s a <a href="https://bitcomme.com/is-unitedhealth-unh-a-good-or-bad-investment-at-todays-price/” title=”Is UnitedHealth (UNH) a Good or Bad Investment at Today’s Price?”>good day.”
Oftentimes, politicians are invited to the dinner, but President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry Luke Bernstein praised how Michaels grew himself into not only a rockstar, but also a businessman whose brand is recognized across the world.
“When you have someone like Bret Michaels, who’s here, who goes from a small, Central Pennsylvania boy to an international rockstar and then an international brand who’s able to become an entrepreneur and run incredible businesses around the world, but has never forgotten his Pennsylvania roots, that’s something to celebrate.”
Michaels isn’t the only celebrity invited, as star comedian Kevin Hart and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent are also there.
