Analytics Intelligence, OADC partner to drive Africa’s sovereign AI agenda
AnalyticsIntelligence, an artificial intelligence and data analytics company, has partnered with Open Access Data Centres (OADC), a WIOCC Group company, to develop sovereign AI and cloud solutions for businesses across Africa.
The partnership is aimed at helping African enterprises deploy secure, scalable and locally hosted AI infrastructure while addressing growing concerns around data sovereignty, regulatory compliance and high-performance computing.
Under the partnership, Analytics Intelligence will combine its enterprise AI platform and advanced analytics capabilities with OADC’s expanding network of edge data centres across Africa.
The companies will offer integrated NeoCloud solutions designed to simplify AI adoption for enterprises. The offering will include access to high-performance computing, including AI Processing Units (APUs) hosted within OADC’s data centres, enabling businesses to train and run demanding AI workloads locally.
The companies said the initiative comes as AI adoption continues to accelerate across Africa, with organisations increasingly seeking solutions that allow them to benefit from artificial intelligence while maintaining control over their data and meeting local regulatory requirements.
[AI] Analytics Intelligence will lead the development of industry-specific AI applications tailored to enterprise needs. For financial institutions, the solutions will include secure private analytics environments designed to support data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of [AI] Analytics Intelligence, David Edoja, said the partnership would help put enterprise-grade AI and the computing infrastructure required to power it within reach of African organisations.
He said: “Africa’s AI future depends on more than powerful technology; it depends on infrastructure that is secure, resilient, and built for the realities of our markets.”
Edoja added that the partnership would enable African organisations to innovate while keeping their data on the continent and under their control.
Chief Executive Officer of OADC, Ayotunde Coker, said the partnership aligns with the company’s objective of bringing digital infrastructure closer to businesses and communities across Africa.
According to Coker, combining OADC’s infrastructure with advanced AI capabilities would help organisations accelerate innovation while meeting performance, security and compliance requirements.
The partnership is expected to contribute to the development of Africa’s digital economy by making sovereign AI infrastructure more accessible to businesses across the continent.
As enterprises increase investments in AI-driven transformation, the two companies said they would continue developing solutions focused on data residency, security, operational requirements and digital sovereignty.
Analytics Intelligence provides artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and enterprise data solutions designed to help organisations improve decision-making, automate processes and accelerate digital transformation.
