American Express launching its biggest traveller lounge yet at Newark airport
American Express is developing a customer lounge at Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, in New York, that will be even bigger than its largest lounge now in operation at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The Atlanta lounge is 26,000 square feet. The Newark lounge, which is scheduled to open in 2027, will be 30,000 square feet across two floors, according to a New York Times report.
American Express’s lounge at Newark will be the airport’s first lounge operated by a credit card company. It will feature a coffee bar as well as three bars offering drinks.
