Amazon Seller Services Private Limited, which operates Amazon’s marketplace business in India, had reported total revenue of Rs 30,491 crore in FY25
Amazon India’s marketplace business reported a 17% increase in total revenue to Rs 35,574 crore in FY26, while its net loss widened 4% to Rs 390 crore, according to financial data from business intelligence platform Tofler.
Amazon Seller Services Private Limited, which operates Amazon’s marketplace business in India, had reported total revenue of Rs 30,491 crore in FY25. Revenue from operations increased 16% to Rs 34,967 crore in FY26 from Rs 30,139 crore a year earlier. Other income also rose to Rs 607 crore from Rs 353 crore.
The revenue growth, however, was accompanied by a corresponding increase in costs. Total expenses climbed 16% to Rs 35,803 crore in FY26 from Rs 30,866 crore in FY25. As a result, the company reported a loss before tax of Rs 229 crore during the year, compared with Rs 374 crore in the previous financial year.
A deferred tax expense of Rs 161 crore took the company’s net loss to Rs 390 crore, compared with Rs 374 crore in FY25.
The FY26 numbers follow a sharp reduction in losses in the previous financial year. Amazon Seller Services had cut its net loss by 89% in FY25 to Rs 374 crore from Rs 3,470 crore in FY24, while revenue increased 19% to Rs 30,491 crore.
The latest results come as Amazon continues to expand its operations in India across its marketplace, fulfilment and logistics infrastructure, alongside newer businesses including its rapid-delivery service Amazon Now. The company has been increasing its investments in the quick-commerce business as competition in India’s e-commerce market intensifies.
