Alleged security breach exposes over 5.2 million gym customer records

A threat actor claims to have data from the software company Xplor Resamania, which offers management solutions aimed at gyms and sports centers.

The cybercriminal has posted a message on the dark web claiming to have acquired a database containing 5.2 million records.

The instance would affectseveral organizations from various countries, such as France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain.

The cybercriminal boasts of having extractedfull names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, city and postal code, date of birth, membership details, club information, subscription start and end dates, pricing information, staff indicators, and customer and supplier identifiers.

At the time of publishing this information, Xplor Technologies/Xplor Resamania had not issued any statement confirming or denying the alleged data breach nor reported a security incident related to this case.

This medium has contacted the software firm to get their version and will update this information when a response is received.

The burden of managing so many gyms

The original platform was born in France as Resamania and consolidated its international leadership after integrating into the global technology and payments group Xplor Technologies.

Recently, in March, Xplor completed a historic merger with Clubessential Holdings. This definitively unified its catalog under the unique global brand Xplor, creating a global fitness software giant serving more than 61,000 centers worldwide.
