Kan. – StartUp Hutch will host Entrepreneurship Connections on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Sandhills Brewing, located at 111 W. 2nd Avenue in Hutchinson
Entrepreneurship Connections brings together aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs from across Reno County for an evening of conversation, peer learning, and relationship-building.
The September event will feature Jim Gruver, a longtime construction and real estate development professional with more than 40 years of industry experience. Gruver’s career has included new home construction, rehabilitation projects, real estate development, and leadership of development organizations through changing economic conditions, including the 2008 housing market crash.
During the event, Gruver will share his story and lessons learned from decades of building, developing, leading organizations, and navigating the ups and downs of the housing industry.
This fall, Gruver will also lead StartUp Hutch’s new Housing Entrepreneurship Program, which is designed to help local contractors and skilled trades professionals build stronger, more sustainable businesses while increasing Reno County’s capacity to build and renovate housing.
“Jim has spent more than four decades working in an industry where you have to know how to solve problems, adapt and keep moving forward,” said Graham Klemme, Executive Director of StartUp Hutch. “That experience gives him a lot to share with entrepreneurs, whether they work in construction and the trades or are simply trying to build a business that can last.”
The event is free to attend, and participants who register in advance will receive a free drink ticket.
Whether attendees are exploring a new venture, growing an existing business, or simply looking to connect with other entrepreneurs in the region, Entrepreneurship Connections offers a welcoming and informative environment.
