Woo Seo-yoon, the daughter of former basketball player Woo Ji-won, rose to the 2026 Miss Korea Jin (眞) beyond the good of the regional competition.
Woo Seo-yoon was elected as the highest honor in the final round of the “70th Miss Korea Contest” held at the COEX Auditorium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 22nd. Woo Seo-yoon, who previously won the 2026 Miss Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon competitions, went up one level on the national stage and held Jin’s crown in her arms.
Woo Seo-yoon himself did not expect to rise to Jin. After the name was called, he went on stage and couldn’t hide his surprise, saying, “I couldn’t even prepare my acceptance speech because I didn’t expect it at all.”
“The 70th classmates worked so hard, and I think I was able to complete a great stage with my hard work. I’m so happy,” he said, giving credit to the participants who prepared the stage together.
The first people that came to mind the moment they climbed the camp were family and friends. When Oh Sang-jin, who hosted the event, asked, “I think there are names that come to mind,” Woo Seo-yoon said, “Family, friends. Thank you so much for always supporting and supporting me.” He thanked once again, saying, “I think it was a stage made with the hard work and effort of so many people.”
Another daughter familiar in the basketball world also joined the tournament. Jeon Soo-wan, the daughter of professional basketball coach Jeon Hee-chul of the Seoul SK Knights, also made it to the finals. Following their appearance in the tvN STORY “My Baby’s Love” series, the two have something in common that they were named good and beautiful in the Miss Korea regional competition.
Born in 2003, Woo majored in fine art at Tufts University in the United States and is dreaming of becoming a global art curator. He also appeared on tvN’s STORY and E-channel “My Baby’s Love 2” which ended in April and made his face known.
As a child, he appeared in family entertainment shows such as SBS’s “Star Junior Show Bungeoppang,” JTBC’s “Let’s sell children’s prizes,” and tvN’s “Host Escape 3.” Woo Seo-yoon, who stood in front of the camera as the daughter of basketball star Woo Ji-won, who was 191 centimeters tall on the court, has now reached the Miss Korea camp under her name after being selected for the 2026 regional competition.
