The United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) Ghana is working to expand the marketplace
capabilities of the MSME Digital Gateway to improve the services it provides to
micro, small and medium-sized <a href="https://bitcomme.com/adobe-adbe-brings-cx-enterprise-coworker-to-major-ai-platforms/” title=”Adobe (ADBE) Brings CX Enterprise Coworker to Major AI Platforms”>enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
As part of efforts to
strengthen the platform, UNDP Ghana is bringing together MSMEs, public
institutions, logistics and courier companies, payment providers and e-commerce
actors to explore opportunities for integrating additional services into the
digital marketplace.
The discussions are
examining how improved delivery, payment, tracking, returns and
customer-support services can make it easier for businesses to complete
transactions, reach more customers and grow through digital commerce.
The next phase of the MSME
Digital Gateway is focused on increasing the value it provides to businesses
and strengthening its position as a one-stop shop where MSMEs can access
business information, advisory support, skills, financing and market opportunities
while completing transactions through a more connected marketplace.
The MSME Digital Gateway was
developed through a partnership between the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA),
UNDP Ghana and the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT
(GI-KACE).
The initiative received
funding support from the European Union through the UN Joint SDG Fund.
The expansion is expected to
strengthen the platform’s role in supporting Ghanaian MSMEs to access digital
commerce services, improve business operations and connect with wider market
opportunities.
