Their products span AI governance, fraud defense, personalized nutrition, healthcare and media. One winner could earn a path to TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco.
All applications are in. The TechCrunch Startup Battlefield team has made its decision: eight Australian startups have earned a spot on the Startup Battlefield stage at Stripe Tour Sydney, taking place on August 19, 2026. They will have the opportunity to pitch their ventures for a prize pool of $15,000 in Stripe credits to cover fees, attract investor attention, and compete for a spot in the Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco.
They represent the future of Australian technology – from enterprise solutions to innovations in health and wellness, entertainment, and media.
The eight finalists
- Aigentsphere – an independent AI management and governance platform that helps enterprises scale their use of AI safely and effectively by giving leaders visibility, control, and accountability across their entire network of AI agents.
- Apate.ai – helps banks, telecommunications companies, and governments neutralize fraud by engaging fraudsters in live conversations and turning those interactions into real-time intelligence.
- Callease Ai – an operating system for physical security operations centers, starting with a voice AI that automates welfare checks, escalation, patrols, and much more – a comprehensive call engine.
- Choosey App – helps businesses hire instantly and workers get paid instantly through agentic AI profiling, workforce management, and same-day payments.
- Doomers AI – helps AI and technology companies launch products on trending topics on X by organizing a vetted creator network that reaches ad-blocking buyers.
- equ – a startup helping health and wellness businesses deliver personalized nutrition at scale by integrating the equ AI engine, built on 10 years of data from more than 100,000 users, into their products.
- LeadStory – a video intelligence layer powering the next generation of displays by surfacing precise video moments from sports, news, and finance clips in response to natural-language queries.
- Preve – helps physiotherapy clinics improve patient retention and clinical outcomes by automating the creation of and adherence to treatment plans.
Three participants will receive prizes, and one will make it to San Francisco. All eight participants will pitch in front of investors, the press, and Australia’s tech community. If you want to see the future of Australian startups, register for Stripe Tour Sydney on August 19, 2026.
