LAHORE : The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) inaugurated E-Commerce Training Programme at the Cathedral Church, The Mall, in partnership with the Christian Business Fellowship Pakistan, training a first cohort of 80 entrepreneurs from the Christian community in digital commerce skills.
Held as part of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day celebrations, the initiative was conceived as a practical manifestation of the vision of Quaid-e-Azam of equal opportunity and participation for every citizen of Pakistan.
According to a press release issued here on Saturday stated that the Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora appreciated TDAP’s initiative and said minorities remain integral to Punjab and Pakistan’s progress.
Rt. Rev. Nadeem Kamran, Bishop of Lahore Diocese, who hosted the event at the Cathedral Church, called it a true manifestation of an inclusive Pakistan, where the constitutional principle of equal opportunity is translated into practical opportunity for citizens. TDAP Chief ExecutiveFaiz Ahmad Chadhar placed the initiative in the broader history of Pakistan, noting the contributions of minority communities to the country’s creation, defense and development, and said the nation’s economic future must provide opportunity for all its citizens.
The gathering was also addressed by Saleem Shakir, President, Christian Business Fellowship Pakistan. He highlighted the value of connecting emerging entrepreneurs with Pakistan’s wider business and technology ecosystem.
