Fortnite-maker Epic Games is making a “huge pivot” towards using artificial intelligence (AI) in its development of video games, according to boss Tim Sweeney.

Epic Games has been rather bullish on generative AI, with CEO Tim Sweeney publicly and continually expressing his support for the controversial technology. In what appears to be the company’s biggest move yet towards its adoption, Sweeney has announced “a huge pivot” at Epic with the intention of retooling the publisher for “maximum AI acceleration.”
