In recent years, the FCC has generated considerable discussion with its consideration and now adoption of rules concerning cybersecurity, particularly with EAS. We have seen the headlines: A radio station’s STL hijacked with profane content, RDS systems modified to display vulgar messages and other examples of unauthorized access creating havoc on the airwaves.

Years ago, security researchers demonstrated a simple reality: Connect an unprotected computer directly to the internet, and it won’t stay untouched for long. The exact timeline varied — sometimes it took minutes, sometimes it took longer — but the outcome was always predictable; attackers would find the system and begin probing it for weaknesses.

Palo Alto NetworksPANW and Cloudflare NET are both at the forefront of the cybersecurity space, playing key roles in guarding organizations from extensive cyberattacks. PANW focuses broadly on next-generation firewalls, cloud security and AI-driven threat detection. Cloudflare provides a cloud-native platform spanning network security, application security and connectivity.
