The most notable change in Berkshire Hathaway’s (NYSE: BRKA)(NYSE: BRKB) massive, roughly $360 billion stock portfolio this year has been the conglomerate’s large increase in Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL)(NASDAQ: GOOG).

Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) look cheaper than the S&P 500(SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) at face value. Right now, Alphabet and Amazon trade for 17 and 20.9 times earnings, respectively. The S&P 500(SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) trades for 24.2 times earnings, making these two far cheaper than the broader market.

Amazon and Alphabet are two of the biggest spenders in the AI world. Both see huge demand for their cloud computing products and are spending as much money as they can get their hands on to meet it.
