Supremex Inc. has announced capital investments totaling approximately $4 million to expand and modernize its folding carton and e-commerce packaging operations.
The investments include the addition of a six-colour offset press with in-line UV coating capability alongside advanced converting and finishing equipment at the Indianapolis, Indiana packaging facility, expanding the range of packaging grades, formats, and finishes produced in-house while adding folding carton and e-commerce packaging capacity.
In Chicago, Illinois, the company will relocate and upgrade a printing press to its Chicago Envelope facility, while the Naperville, Illinois site will add e-commerce packaging capacity to meet growing demand and leverage its skilled workforce.
Stewart Emerson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Supremex, stated that the investments give customers excellence at every step by bringing capability in-house, broadening production for folding carton and e-commerce customers, and controlling quality from start to finish, adding that packaging is a growth engine for the company.
The investments will be funded from existing cash flows and the company’s existing credit facilities, Emerson concluded.
