EU Inc.: The German Federal Chamber of Notaries sees many risks
The German Federal Chamber of Notaries is not fundamentally opposed to the proposed new company form, EU Inc. However, in its view, the European Commission’s proposal weakens established controls on company formations and increases the risk of abuse.
The German Federal Chamber of Notaries is hoping that the European Commission’s proposal for the 28th regime (EU Inc.) will emerge from the legislative process in a significantly revised form. “The idea of a European corporate form is not wrong in and of itself,” said Johannes Rübbeck, Managing Director of the German Federal Chamber of Notaries in Brussels.
