SGS, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Prescient Security, one of the leading providers of information compliance and cyber security services in the United States. With over 350 employees and 5,000 clients worldwide, Prescient Security is recognised as a leading expert in information security certification, financial integrity, payment security, data protection and cyber security.
Its solutions help organisations protect themselves against digital and cyber threats across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, healthcare, retail, technology and defence.
The company also offers a comprehensive range of penetration testing services, combining manual assessments carried out by experts, scalable digital approaches and AI-assisted models. Furthermore, its proprietary automation technology supports compliance workflows and security processes.
Its certification solutions cover internationally recognised standards and frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO, PCI DSS and HITRUST, as well as key US federal requirements such as FedRAMP and CMMC.
SGS has set itself the target of generating additional revenue of at least CHF 200 million from its Digital Trust activities by 2027, compared with the 2023 level. The acquisition of Prescient Security represents an important step in expanding the SGS Digital Trust platform and accelerating growth and innovation in this strategic area.
