Security Savings Bank to break ground on south Sioux Falls branch
Security Savings Bank is preparing to start construction on a branch in south Sioux Falls.
The location at 7111 S. Minnesota Ave. will be the bank’s second in the city and its ninth overall, with several branches in Minnesota and Iowa.
“We are adding this location to better serve our customers in the Sioux Falls area,” said Nate Engbers, executive vice president and market president.
“As we continue to grow and open this new branch, we want to strike a balance between serving our customers in Sioux Falls and those from our existing markets that do their business in Sioux Falls. We feel very confident that this location will do exactly that.”
The full-service branch will include consumer and business banking, mortgage lending, wealth management and private banking.
“The branch will be a very open floor plan, allowing us to serve customers that prefer to do their banking inside the branch,” Engbers said.
“We also will have full drive-up and ATM services for those that prefer to do their banking that way.”
Staffing will be a combination of existing employees relocating to the new branch as well as new hires in the consumer and business banking areas, he said.
A groundbreaking will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Construction will start this fall with an opening planned for the fall of 2027.
